This typographical Zine creates imagery through text to help the audience visualize and depict the plot within Thomas Blackburn's "Hospital for Defectives". Blackburn's poem portrays the internal struggle Blackburn faced in his own life while struggling with his mental illnesses. "Internal Madness" uses Blackburn's words to create a visualization of what is imagined as what Blackburn was seeing in his own mind when writing this piece --- constantly in a battle with his own self.
